As we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America, we’re reminded of the bold spirit that shaped this country, and the same spirit that runs through our moonshine stills. Ole Smoky has been crafting moonshine in the Smoky Mountains ever since our ancestors settled here over a century ago. While the law might not have always been on our side, we’ve persevered, just like this great nation, until we were able to legally open our first federally licensed distillery in Gatlinburg. From humble beginnings to crafting some of the best moonshines and whiskies in the world, we’re proud to raise a glass to 250 years of resilience, innovation, and the freedom to do things our own way.
