Ole Smoky Premieres New TV Spots With Season Debut Of Hit Show "Moonshiners"

Gatlinburg, Tenn. (October 30, 2013) – After a year of running their first commercial promoting their homegrown brand, Ole Smoky Moonshine has hired Austin advertising agency Blackboard Co. to produce a new campaign.  Entitled “Born From,” the commercials mark the brand’s return for the third season on Discovery Channel’s popular series “Moonshiners.”  The season debut is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 9pm ET/PT, and will kick off with a brand new Ole Smoky commercial, one of several that will air during the season.   The first spot aired earlier this month on the cable network and you can view it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9Fh7wqHxq8.

In the wake of its strong and increasing success in the national marketplace, and now also international, with distribution in Canada, Ole Smoky brought Blackboard Co. aboard to create a new series of high production value spots.  The “Born From” campaign is deeply rooted in Ole Smoky’s ties to Appalachian culture and celebrates the authenticity of the family-owned company from Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  Ole Smoky produces the first legal moonshine in the state and is proud of its family moonshine recipe that is more than a century old.

The Ole Smoky spots, consisting of (4) 30-second commercials and (2) 10-second billboards, will be seen throughout the upcoming 2013 season of “Moonshiners”, and will continue into early 2014.  Timeslots include primetime, as well as a variety of additional dayparts throughout the week and weekend.  Ole Smoky’s role as a sponsor also includes IPMs (in program messages) that will be seen during the content of the show and run approximately: 08 seconds.  A social media campaign will also be rolled out concurrent with paid advertising.
