Members of Superband Have Individually Won 47 Grammys

NASHVILLE -- February 19, 2014 -- The Soggy Bottom Boys— the rollicking old-time string band featured on the silver screen, known for the Grammy winning "Man of Constant Sorrow" —have reunited for a special performance Saturday, March 22, at Ole Smoky® Tennessee Moonshine Distillery (also known as The Holler™) located at 903 Parkway in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  It is a free show that starts at 5:00 PM.

This performance marks the first time The Soggy Bottom Boys will appear as a stage band. Led by Dan Tyminski of Alison Krauss’s award-winning Union Station band, the group includes Barry Bales, Ron Block, Stuart Duncan and Mike Compton.  Bales and Block are also members of Union Station.  Duncan and Compton have played on hundreds of records and dozens of hits. Adds Josh Trivett, organizer and promoter of the event, “It’s so exciting for myself and Moonstruck Management to be the organizing management company that has helped make this dream of Ole Smoky come to fruition.  Considering the combination of the massive success of the movie and soundtrack, and my passion and love for bluegrass music, this show has been a pleasure to help create.  We specialize in the bluegrass genre, so needless to say we are all smiles.”
